Public Spaces at Yonge and Eglinton
We’ve made no secret of the fact that we believe public spaces are highly important for the growth of a city, and our architect Rosario Varracalli has also spoken on the importance of promoting public spaces.
With so many Yonge and Eglinton Condos being built in the area, we think it’s really important to have as many public spaces as possible to support the growth of the neighbourhood.
This week, we decided to venture out and see what other public spaces are in our hood.
Northern District – Toronto Public Library
Named after famous composer Alexander Muir, the gardens are home to a beautiful ravine and a great place for a stroll or a picnic! It’s also home to the Lawrence Park Lawn Bowling and Croquet Club.
Eglinton Park, immediately behind the modern North Toronto Community Centre and Arena on Eglinton Ave. West, is Yonge and Eglinton’s largest sports’ field – boasting 4 tennis courts, 2 baseball diamonds, a wading pool and children’s park!
And last, but not least – the new Yonge Eglinton Centre
